Bran oatmeal


To oatmeal (choose coarse, flattened rather than small ones like flour)  add oat and wheat bran, all in equal proportions. This is a healthy porridge. Oat bran will feed microflora, and wheat will provide good intestinal motility. You can add a little 82% of butter to the finished porridge – it is an additional source of butyrate (butyric acid) to nourish the brain and reduce intestinal inflammation.
